The mission of Colonial Forge High School is to foster the development of an environment that will facilitate learning for all students, promote ethical decision-making, self-esteem, and respect for others, and foster the development of self-sufficient adults.

We, at CFHS, believe that the education process is a shared endeavor of the instructional team. This team is composed of teachers, administrators, parents, and the community. In our efforts to facilitate this process, we have developed expectations of our team members.

Goal 1: Support high expectations for academic performance and expand opportunities for every student.

• Objective: Colonial Forge High School will close performance gaps between reporting categories, improving performance for every student.

  • Target 1: By the end of the 2023-24 school year, Colonial Forge will increase in SOL pass rates by 5% for the following content areas and subgroups: Math - Students with Disabilities, Reading Literacy English Language Learners

  • Target 2: By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, the CCRI index score will increase from level 2 to level 1.

Goal 2: Ensure every student, staff, and family member receives a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment in our school.

• Objective: Operate with efficiency and transparency, acting as good stewards of our resources.

  • Target 1: By the end of the Spring Climate Survey administration, student and teacher participation will increase to at least 40%. Parent participation will increase from 276 to 500.  All ratings will be 3 or above.  

  • Target 2: By May 2024, our chronic absenteeism rate will decrease by 10% as measured by our daily attendance rate.
